The Division of Equity and Inclusion supports and works in conjunction with campus and community partners, as well as acting as a clearinghouse of information for issues regarding diversity, equity and inclusion. The Accessible Education Center (AEC) is part of the Undergraduate Education and Student Success Division of Academic Affairs. American Psychological Association Guidance

Download the APA’s “inclusive language guidelines that are written for those working to champion equity, diversity, and inclusion in the spaces that they learn, teach, work, or conduct research. APA is committed to true change in its work to address systemic racism and other forms of destructive social hierarchies. This requires avoiding language that perpetuates harm or offense toward members of marginalized communities through our communications.
