Diversity Science
Our department is prioritizing and elevating diversity science. We recognize that achieving true equity and inclusion requires a multifaceted approach. e offer a range of courses designed to educate and empower both undergraduate and graduate students in the field of diversity science. Additionally, we have invested in a diversity science area and hired fantastic faculty who specialize in DEI research and best practices. Through these initiatives, we aim to advance our understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, while working towards a more equitable society. CIC has recently acquired funding to sponsor a workshop on conducting diversity science research! This will take place Fall 2023, and will hopefully set a precedent for upcoming workshops and necessary discussions.
