Reporting Options

What to know before reporting

Employee Reporting Responsibilities: Every university employee falls into one of three categories, each with specific obligations for all forms of prohibited discrimination: Designated Reporters, Assisting Employees, or Confidential Employees. Questions about reporting obligations can be directed to oicrc@uoregon.edu.

Reporting Resources

  • For confidential advice about reporting options, all members of the university community can schedule an appointment with the Ombuds Program.
  • The Office of Investigations and Civil Rights Compliance (OICRC) addresses and investigates allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation as defined under the university’s Prohibited Discrimination and Retaliation Policy, including sex and gender-based discrimination, harassment, violence and stalking. Reports can be made by students, faculty, staff, and other members of the university community (anonymously, if desired) using the online form on the OICRC’s website.

  • Students who have experienced sexual harassment, including sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, gender-based harassment or bullying, and stalking, have the option to speak with a Confidential Advocate in the Dean of Students Office. These confidential staff will review all available options so students can decide how they want to proceed. Information disclosed to a Confidential Advocate will not be shared with OICRC.

  • For concerns unrelated to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, visit the Report a Concern webpage for various reporting options.
